How to make your own washing powder with Marseille soap shavings?

Marseille soap shavings detergent is a natural, economical and effective alternative to synthetic detergents. Made from real Marseille soap cooked in a cauldron and manufactured in our Marseille soap factory using traditional know-how.

Marseille soap-based detergent offers an effective washing solution for all types of textiles, including the most delicate. Thanks to its hypoallergenic formulation, it is ideal for washing clothes for people with sensitive skin.

Ingredients:

40g Marseille soap shavings
1L very hot water
1L warm water
2 tablespoons baking soda (optional)
Essential oil (optional)

Recipe:

Place 40g of Marseille soap shavings in a recycled detergent can or glass bottle.
Add 1 liter of boiling water to the container to dilute the copings.
Shake vigorously until soap shavings are completely dissolved.
Leave to stand for 24 hours. The lye will thicken, which is perfectly normal.
Then add 1 liter of cold water and mix again until smooth. Your homemade natural detergent is ready!

Optional :

For more effective washing and softer laundry, add 2 tablespoons baking soda.
To perfume your detergent, add a few drops of essential oils according to your preferences.

How to use :

Pour your homemade Marseille soap detergent directly into the washing machine compartment or into a measuring cap.

For more ecological use, run your washing machine at full load, prefer low-temperature wash cycles and adjust the dosage according to the degree of dirtiness of your laundry.
