We are optimizing gas and water use through improvement initiatives on our boiler.
To reduce our energy footprint, we switch off the chillers at night and at weekends.
Rigorous monitoring is ensured by daily recording of values, demonstrating our commitment to transparency and continuous improvement.
Our packaging
We prefer to use paper packaging rather than plastic, thus helping to reduce the presence of plastic in supermarkets.
Our ecocert certification
Most Maitre Savon de Marseille products are ECOCERT-certified.
Ecocert is an inspection and certification body approved by the French Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and the French Ministry of the Economy, Industry and Employment.
This label guarantees that the various components are collected, transformed or extracted according to processes validated by Ecocert, in a process and production methods.

Our values
Traditional and ancestral know-how
We are one of the few soap factories in Marseille to maintain the traditional know-how of a master soap-maker. Protecting this cherished core value remains our fundamental commitment, explaining our existence for over 130 years. With this in mind, in 2011 we joined forces with three other soap factories to form the Union des Professionnels du Savon de Marseille (Union of Marseille Soap Professionals), with the aim of defining a charter for genuine Marseille soap.

Our soap is made by the Savonnerie du Midi, firmly established in the heart of Marseille's northern neighborhoods, supporting the local economy.

Our Master Soapmaker passes on exceptional know-how, anchoring our commitment to preserving artisan traditions.

We are proud to be certified Origine France Garantie, a government label guaranteeing the traceability and quality of our products.

La Savonnerie du Midi has been awarded the label "Entreprises engagées pour l'humain, l'emploi et l'environnement" (Companies committed to people, jobs and the environment), a testament to its CSR approach.
